At Garage Italia the charity auction in support of Laps Foundation
Until July 16, Garage Italia will be the setting for a very special auction of classic cars and motorcycles, young timers and automobilia.Among all the lots stand out two cars very familiar to Garage Italia, the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso “Azzurra” by Lapo Elkann and his tender, the Abarth 595 competition also customized by Garage with the same style.
Both Lapo Elkann’s one offs will be beaten in a single lot whose proceeds will be donated to the LAPS Foundation to develop two solidarity projects: “Scelgo Giusto”, a project for the recovery of minors with drug addiction problems or at risk of fall into criminal substrates and “Connessione Vitale”, the program that fights digital addictions. The Wannenes auction house, joining the LAPS Foundation’s project, has decided that the auction rights will not be applied to the hammer price of the two cars. The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso “Azzurra” is a unique and iconic specimen of Ferrari GTC4 Lusso commissioned and personalized by Lapo Elkann. The entire layout was curated by Garage Italia playing on two different shades of blue, to represent the perfect fusion between the automotive universe and those of fashion, design and art. The bodywork, in Blue Navy Garage Italia, is characterized by the contrasting painting of the front mouth, in the exclusive Azzurro Lapo color studied and created with RM Paint, of the same color are the strip that runs the entire length of the car, the side gills , the spokes of the alloy wheels and Brembo brake calipers customized with the Garage Italia logo. The combination of the two colors is also successfully proposed on the Abarth 595 Competizione “Azzurra” conceived as a “tender” car for the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso. The interiors are a riot of premium quality Foglizzo leather, also used for the center of the seats, made of light blue woven leather. And that’s not all. To enrich the auction there will be 42 other collectibles, among which the Dallara Stradale Limited Edition, the eighth produced in a limited series of 10, an Alfa Romeo 1900 Super Sprint Touring Superleggera from 1955 3rd series, a Porsche 2.7 (210 HP) Carrera Targa from 1974, and a 2018 Ferrari 488 Spider just to say a few.Fans of vintage motorcycles and scooters will find bread for their teeth, being able to choose among 12 historical models, such as a magnificent 1954 Vespa Piaggio 125 “Faro Basso”, a 1952 Lambretta 125 B and still others.Last but not least, a very interesting selection of automotive memorabilia also completes the offer, such as the shell of the flat bottom of Michael Schumacher’s F1-2000 (who won the title), some Ferrari Amalgam limited edition models, a scale model 1/5 of the Ferrari F2003 and more. Lapo Elkann will also present two race suits dedicated to him by Sebastian Vettel in 2019 as Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow F1 Team, and in 2010 by Fernando Alonso and all mechanics such as Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro F1 Team. All lots are displayed at Garage Italia from 13 to 16 July 2020
