56 years old, but still in perfect shape. From the 'Fast and Furious' saga to 'XXX' and 'Pitch Black', via 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Avengers', Vin Diesel has made his mark on the world film scene for his massive presence, sculptural muscles and reckless driving. But his love for cars was not only embodied through his movies. The Californian actor from Alameda County is able to boast a respectable collection that has further increased his street cred towards his fans.Let's see which cars we can see once the magical garage of the Vin Diesel house is opened. Fun fact: most of these were also driven by the actor on the sets of 'Fast and Furious', and he liked them so much that he wanted to buy a replica immediately after filming.
The 1970 Dodge Charger R/TThe fans of the "Fast and Furious" saga will surely recognize the legendary 1970 Dodge Charger R/T driven by Dominic "Dom" Toretto (our Vin Diesel).Despite being one of the most iconic cars in the "Fast and Furious" saga, the specimens driven by the actor were all kit cars. The only real one in the set was sold by the "Volo Auto Museum" for $ 129,998 to a Swiss collector and later landed in Italy. This car, given its history and its undisputed value, is very rare and exclusive. Just tink that the specimen in Vin Diesel's garage was purchased at a price of one million dollars (at the current exchange rate about 850 thousand euros). A special feature of this Dodge is the addition, compared to the standard versions, of an 8:71 positive displacement compressor and an F.A.S.T (Fuel Air Spark Technology) electronic injection system with three injectors per cylinder and eight nitrous oxide injectors. In this way, the power of this car has been increased to over 900 hp to which must be added the 250 hp deriving from nitrous oxide (or N.O.S.) at 8500 rpm. In addition to these changes, interventions have been carried out to reinforce the chassis, suspension, brakes and rear axle in order to support its almost 1200 hp.
Dodge Charter and Dodge Charter DaytonaBut the Charger R/T is not the only Dodge in the actor's garage. The Dodge Charger SRT8 and the Dodge Charger Daytona also stand out here. The latter is a real gem, because of its unique style and design outside the box and was guided by the actor in the last chapter of "Fast and Furious" in its electric version. As for the Charger R / T, also present in the movies of the saga, it is a very powerful car, perhaps the most performing of all: Hemi v8 engine with hemispherical chambers (an all-American gem) for 470 horsepower.
Chevrolet Chevelle and Chevrolet Corvette Stingray GransportNot only the Dodge Charger (obviously) among the cars driven by Vin Diesel in the "Fast and Furious" saga but also few Chevrolet. We can count two Chevy in his personal collection: a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS and a Chevrolet Corvette Stringay Gransport. In particular, the latter is the protagonist of one of the most adrenaline-rich scenes in the saga (in particular in the fifth episode) it was auctioned following the end of the movie's production. This car, unique in design and performance, uses the suspension of a Corvette C4 and mounts a large 5.7-liter V7 capable of delivering 385 horsepower. A real gem.
Lykan HyperSport"There is nothing sadder than keeping a beast locked in a cage." This is what Dom Toretto says when he sees this gem. I wonder if Vin Diesel thinks the same thing when he drives the one he has in his garage!Dual turbo engine, with a speed of 390 km/h and with the ability to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. Central engine flat 6 biturbo 3.7 liters, for a power of 770 horsepower. The lights of the machine are made of white gold, diamonds and blue sapphires. Ultimately, it is one of the most exclusive machines in the world, of Lebanese origin and with a total value of 3 million four hundred thousand dollars. There is no car in the world remotely comparable to this, which is ultimately the most expensive among those used in the saga.
Pontiac BonnevilleThis is one of the longest-lived cars in the American car market, since its production stands from 1958 to 2005. In the specific case of the car owned by Vin Diesel, it is a specimen to be placed in the fourth generation production. Yes, the one with the muzzle with the Coke logo, a real American symbol. This fourth series of Bonneville went to further improve the previous versions: 7-liter engine compared to the canonical 6 able to deliver more power (390 horsepower).
Mazda RX7The 1993 Mazda RX-7 is the only other Japanese car in Vin Diesel's collection. An oriental beauty, which won the Import Car of the Year 1993 award from Motor Trend. This one is a very special model, because it is one of the rarest 2x2 ever made, powered by a 1.3 liter biturbo rotary engine with 252 horsepower. Precisely because of its origin, it made its debut (in the black and orange version) in "Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift" of 2006, the third chapter of the saga.
