It’s 1954 when Anthony arrives in the United Kingdom from a small island in the Caribbean. He’s young, full of hope, and one of many immigrants who have come to this side of the world. He quickly rolls up his sleeves and tries his hand at several jobs. Life as an expatriate isn’t easy, but England is a land of opportunity, and Anthony has nothing left to lose.He meets a girl—her name is Carmen. Unlike him, she was born and raised in this country; this is her home. They look at each other, they understand each other, they fall in love. The wedding is a simple ceremony—money is scarce, but it doesn’t matter. They settle fifty kilometers outside London, in the county of Hertfordshire, in a town called Stevenage—nothing more than a flyspeck on the map compared to the capital. The Eighties roar on, and that unusually warm April makes the Caribbean beaches feel a little closer. Anthony starts working as a waiter, studies computer science, and learns how to sell houses. Carmen wants to help those who are even less fortunate than they are; she goes to school, connects with a few organizations, and takes her first steps as a social worker.Monday, January 7, 1985. In Italy, it’s a rest day for hairdressers and theater performers, but in Stevenage, it’s the day their first child is born.“I want to name him Lewis,” says Anthony. “Like Carl, my idol. No one runs faster than him.”Carmen smiles at him and agrees—she always has.
Lewis is as radiant as the sun, with the colors of the wild Americas and the noble features of the conquerors. He’s sharp, growing quickly—just like the distance that begins to widen between his father and mother. He is two years old when Anthony and Carmen decide to separate. So Lewis goes to live with his mother, who meets another man and has two more children, Nicola and Samantha. His father sees him from time to time. For his sixth birthday, Anthony gives him an electric toy car. Lewis is mesmerized by that remote-controlled car—he plays with it constantly, and in his hands, it seems to take flight.School is tough. His classmates bully him for the color of his skin, his unusual hair, and his exotic eyes. Lewis endures, he runs, he hides—but when he comes home, he plays like no one else can with the car his father gave him.Anthony watches his little boy. He realizes his son carries something special inside him, though he doesn’t yet know what it is.
It doesn’t matter—he gathers the few crumpled bills in his pockets and asks his boss to let him work night shifts as well, just so he can afford to enroll his son in a karting club.Anthony speaks to Carmen.“We are no longer us,” he tells her, “but Lewis has a gift, and it’s our job to give it wings.”Carmen smiles at him and agrees—she always has. When Lewis wins the British cadet championship, he is ten years old. By the time he turns twelve, McLaren has noticed him and signed him to a contract. That’s when Lewis moves back in with his father.
That’s when Anthony becomes his manager.
That’s when young Hamilton’s dreams take flight, and his rise will never stop.Lewis climbs through the ranks of motorsport, and in 2000, he becomes the European Karting Formula A champion. In 2003, he dominates Formula Renault 2.0, winning ten out of fifteen races. In 2005, in the F3 Euro Series, he wins fifteen out of twenty. At twenty-one, he debuts in GP2, arrives in Monte Carlo, wins both races in a single weekend, and clinches the title at Monza.Ron Dennis of McLaren steps in front of him, shakes his hand, and officially signs him for Formula 1.Little Lewis can now dream with his eyes wide open—because the rest is already history. His history.

Seven-time world champion, style icon, unstoppable social butterfly, die-hard Arsenal fan, conscious vegan, eco-activist with a private jet, top ambassador for Hilfiger, and a fixture at fashion weeks in Milan, Paris, and New York—Lewis Hamilton today is not just a master of the wheel on the track but also a passionate collector of four-wheeled dreams. His garage is a reflection of his bold, eclectic, and ever-evolving personality. What he has assembled is nothing short of a museum on wheels, where refined taste meets raw power, and every vehicle tells a unique story—just like his own. Here are just a few of the gems that make up his extraordinary collection.
Pagani Zonda 760 LH
One of the most prized pieces in Hamilton’s collection, this Zonda was custom-built for him—hence the "LH" initials—at a cost of approximately £1.6 million.Equipped with a manual gearbox, specifically requested by Lewis, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.Despite its breathtaking aesthetics and unmistakable sound, Hamilton has admitted that the Zonda is terrible to drive due to its challenging handling.Perhaps for this reason, in 2015, while in Monte Carlo, Lewis had a minor accident with this beast—fortunately, without serious consequences.Ferrari LaFerrari
Despite his long-standing affiliation with Mercedes, Hamilton couldn’t resist the allure of the Prancing Horse. His garage proudly houses both a Ferrari LaFerrari and a Ferrari 599 SA Aperta—two icons of design and engineering. These hybrid hypercars combine a roaring V12 engine with an electric unit, delivering breathtaking performance and impressive efficiency. The LaFerrari features a 6.3-liter hybrid powertrain producing over 900 hp. Reportedly, Lewis spent around £2.2 million to secure the Aperta version and another £1.4 million for its coupe counterpart.Only 80 units of the 599 SA Aperta were ever built—one for each year of Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary—making it an exceptionally rare addition to Hamilton’s collection. While its price tag is slightly lower than the LaFerrari Aperta, it is still estimated at £1.7 million. Now that Lewis is officially a Ferrari driver, these models rightfully stand out in his collection—money well spent, without a doubt.McLaren P1
Before dominating the tracks with Mercedes, Hamilton began his Formula 1 career with McLaren. It’s no surprise, then, that a McLaren P1 holds a special place in his garage—a true hybrid hypercar that represents the pinnacle of British automotive engineering. With a combined power output of over 900 hp, the P1 can launch from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.8 seconds, with a price tag of £1.2 million. For Lewis, the P1 is more than just a car—it’s a tribute to his roots and a reminder of how far he’s come since the very beginning.Shelby Cobra 427
Hamilton has a deep appreciation for classic cars, and one of his favorites is a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427, valued at over £4 million—making it one of the most expensive vehicles in his collection. This American muscle car is renowned for its iconic design and powerful V8 engine. But owning a Cobra 427 is more than just a style statement—it’s a tribute to the history of motorsport.Lewis keeps his prized Cobra in Los Angeles, where he was often seen cruising with his ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger during their relationship. However, the value of the Cobra 427 continues to soar at auctions, and—alongside his impressive real estate portfolio—this rare gem might just help secure Hamilton’s golden retirement.Mercedes-AMG Project One
Being the face of Mercedes Formula 1 for over a decade, it’s no surprise that Hamilton has a Mercedes-AMG Project One in his arsenal. This hypercar brings Formula 1 technology to the streets, featuring a hybrid powertrain directly derived from motorsport—a perfect fusion of Lewis' career and his passion for sustainability and high-performance cars.Hamilton’s Project One can reach a top speed of nearly 220 mph.Only 275 units of the Project One were built, each costing around £2 million—and Lewis didn’t just buy one for himself, but also one for his father, Anthony. His former Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg owns one as well, alongside ex-F1 driver David Coulthard and actor Mark Wahlberg, making this an exceptionally rare four-wheeled masterpiece. In recent years, Lewis Hamilton has embraced a more eco-conscious lifestyle, reducing his use of supercars in favor of electric vehicles. Despite owning a collection estimated at around $16.5 million, he now claims that many of his high-performance machines often remain parked in the garages of his various properties. And for us nostalgic dreamers who hang onto his every word, all we can do is take his word for it.On the eve of his debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix, fans around the world eagerly await the moment he grips the wheel of the Prancing Horse, holding tight to that destiny of speed his parents instilled in his very name. And with his long-awaited move to Ferrari, the now-grown Hamilton is about to fulfill yet another timeless dream of young Lewis Carl.
